Fifteen-year-old Katie Rodgers longs to help the Patriots in their revolutionary battles. Perhaps that is why she kept a coded note in her pocket so one day she could really help. When her father takes her on his new warship the Avalon on a secret test run, the British capture the Avalon and all its crew. Katie is sent to her British uncle and aunt’s estate. Her voice, her name, her freedom–it’s all stripped away. This girl must choose to rise and take advantage of where God has placed her. That is, until she discovers a new destiny that will take her farther than she ever thought.
